Welcome to the Monthly Iona Circle, a virtual gathering for past Waymarkers’ Iona program participants.
While on Iona, we entered the sacred practice of Council—a profound calling to behold and honor the spiritual truth in one another, much like the devotion we bring to ceremony. In Council, we tenderly held one another’s hearts, witnessing the divine exchange in which all are one, and recognizing our own reflection in another’s presence. It is a practice of witnessing the unfolding of Creation, of beholding one another’s becoming.
Grounded in human equality, Council creates the conditions for soul to speak. When our deepest truths can be voiced and witnessed without shame, they move powerfully through us, activating healing, wholeness, and manifestation.
This circle extends that practice, offering a living Iona taproot—connecting us to the sacred pulse of the Holy Isle both within ourselves and throughout the world.
Sessions will open and close with poetry, a guided meditation, and blessings, with the intention to invoke the sacred encounter experienced on Iona while being emplaced in our particular and unique landscapes, homescapes, and bioregions. My hope is to foster vibrant memories of your time on Iona so that they can continue to animate and inspire your life, as well as support interconnections within a vast ecosystem of Iona pilgrims.
