“Blessed is the life lived in sync with the land on which it is lived.” — Wendell Berry

Waymarkers work primarily resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Duwamish People. We offer our respect to their elders—past, present, and future—and honor the enduring relationship between the Duwamish and this land. We hold deep gratitude for the land herself, who continues to sustain and teach.

Waymarkers draws its name from Jeremiah 31:21: “Set up waymarks”—simple markers placed along a path to guide travelers home through wild terrain. This work is rooted in the understanding that the natural world accompanies us, guiding us toward belonging.
