Rewilding & Companioning the Earth (Part 2) with SDI & Mary DeJong
A Conversation with Spiritual Directors International
In This Conversation…
Mary DeJong joins Spiritual Directors International for Part 2 of a conversation about rewilding and companioning the Earth. As a deep ecologist, eco-theologian, urban naturalist, and guide of place-based pilgrimage, Mary explores how our spiritual lives can become more deeply rooted in the living landscapes around us. The conversation considers what it means to attend to the Holy through nature and the particular bioregion in which we live, while also making space for the grief, anxiety, and disorientation that accompany ecological destruction. Mary invites spiritual directors and seekers to move beyond a human-centered spirituality toward a more relational understanding of Earth—one grounded in attention, place, belonging, and reciprocal relationship with the more-than-human world.
